Strawberry Shortcake Dolls

If you grew up during the 80’s, like I did, then you probably owned some Strawberry Shortcake dolls during your young life. The ones I got had scent inside them, and when you squeezed them, you would get a puff of whatever scent it contained. I remember I used to make my little sister mad by squeezing her Strawberry Shortcake dolls; she swore that the dolls would run out of scent if I kept squeezing them.

These days, Strawberry Shortcake dolls and toys have been making a comeback, and children and collectors alike are enjoying the many colorful characters that were conceived in the 80’s.

The actual Strawberry Shortcake doll was first released on 1980, then re-released in 1991, and was launched again in 2002. Throughout the 1980’s many other dolls were released in the Strawberry Shortcake collection, each with her or his particular scent and color of hair. And if you remember, back then each character came with a matching pet. All of these colorful and fragrant characters lived in the magical world of Strawberryland, a place where no one gets punished and everything is free. It would have been perfect if it weren’t for that menacing Purple Pie Man!

The appeal of Strawberry Shortcake and her friends grew immensely, and soon after the release of the first doll, movies and games were released as well.
